SCCI-CP-2015-01 Collaboration Project on Smart Cities

The Super Computing Consortium of India has announced the approval of collaboration project focused on Smart Cities. The decision follows the highly successful vision event "Vision 2020 With IoT" conducted by SCCI on February 14, 2015 in Visakhapatnam, India.

Objective

To co-create smart city reference solutions that capture best practices for Smart City development and implementation.

Process

The collaboration project follow an agile and iterative process to achieve this goal.

In addition to the founder member Sankhya Technologies Private Limited, several organizations including Dreamchip Electronics, Turning Point Management and several academic institutes showed keen interest in joining the CP during the round table session of the IoT2020 conference held on February 14, 2015.

The first sprint of the project will be planned during a meeting that has been scheduled to be held in Viskahapatnam, India on Monday February 23, 2015. Membership for both collaboration projects is open to all current and new members of SCCI. SCCI expects to further evolve Smart City and Smart Industry standards from these projects.

Technology

Sankhya Technologies is glad to have developed technologies for the development of distributed deeply embedded systems (DDES) that can help cities and industries create higher value opportunities for citizens.
