Technologies for a Smarter World


SCCI is organizing the event "Workshop on Technologies for a Smarter World" to encourage academic and professional researchers to get up-to-speed with global trends and practices.

Synopsis: Silicon Valley is disrupting almost every industry globally with technologies like Big Data, AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. These technologies have a great role to play in Internet of Things, self-driving cars, and the like. Prof. Rao Vemuri a resident of Silicon Valley covers some of these technologies in a 2-day workshop.

Who Should attend: Post-graduate students and practitioners from industry and government interested in the use of the above technologies (computer scientists, bio-technologists, smart-city developers, etc.) would be benefited.

Prerequisites: B. Tech or equivalent. Familiarity with probability concepts. Ability to read code in a modern programming language. Comfortable in working with computers. (Any knowledge of Python, Manifolda, R or Matlab would be a plus)

Style: Five hours of lectures, one hour of hands-on session, one hour of Q-A and discussion each day.
